Gunn's Hill family dairy farm presents this handcrafted washed rind cow's milk cheese that combines traits from Gouda and another Swiss variety called Appenzeller. It is delicately aged on cedar wood planks for 8 months, adding robust flavours to the cheese. Described as having rich and creamy favour with sweeter overtones and distinctive eyes throughout the body of the cheese. It pairs well with white wines such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc and also Pilsner beers.
Each piece is approximately 170g.
