This is a savoury sweet sauce with a spicy kick, made from the fruit of the tamarind tree. This sauce is more mild than the scotch bonnet sauce but with a tangy taste that makes it a perfect kitchen helper. Tamarind sauce can be used to season vegetables and meats, or can be added on top for a sweet, sour, and mildly spicy twist!
Sauce can be stored at room temperature for two months. Refrigerate after opening for up to one month.
